Over the course of nine weeks, more than 100,000 people visit Chautauqua and participate in programs, classes and community events for all ages — all within the beautiful setting of a historic lakeside village. As a community, we celebrate, encourage and study the arts and treat them as integral to all of learning, and we convene the critical conversations of the day to advance understanding through civil dialogue.

    Responsibilities

    The Night Security Staff patrols the hotel at night and answers the phone during the Night Auditor’s break. The Night Security Staff helps protect our guests and their valuables, as well as fellow hotel employees. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Will be working 10:30PM until 7AM
    • Must be able to escort individuals to their room or outside of the building 
    • Completes the security check list nightly
    • Patrols the hotel premises every hour
    • Calls local police if needed/ remains calm in a crisis
    • Delivers newspapers to each room
    • Cleans any garbage in the lobby or hallways
    • Enables the night auditor to take a break and answers all calls while they are away
    • Other duties may be assigned
    • Night security officer reports directly to Front Office Management

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to speak fluent English
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to stand for 7.5 hours 
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
