    Responsibilities

    The Brick Walk Café Kitchen Shift Supervisor oversees the Culinary Team.

    • Preseason:
      • Assists with recruiting and training of Culinary Team
      • Works with Kitchen Manager regarding food cost/ordering
      • Assists with other various aspects of pre-season planning and preparation
    • In Season:
      • Works with Kitchen Manager for proper scheduling
      • Works with Kitchen Manager regarding food cost/ordering
    • Works with General Manager, Service Managers & Culinary Team:
      • to implement systems in place for federal, state and local regulatory guidelines for food safety and sanitation
      • to ensure food quality and plate presentation
    • Maintains hands-on presence in Kitchen to provide Culinary Team ongoing training, coaching redirection/development
    • Responsible for financial performance:
      • support systems in place for food production/prep list
      • work with Purchaser/Receiver for proper ordering and inspection of goods received
      • inventory controls, track and manage waste, shrink
    • Must:
      • Be able to attend orientation and all subsequent training
      • Follow all company policies
      • Possess superior leadership skills
      • Possess superior teamwork skills
      • Possess positive attitude through speech and body language
      • Be responsible to uphold uniform policy, personal hygiene, and grooming standards and present in a professional manner.
      • Embrace and reflect the company culture and values as stated in the Culture/Mission Statement to reach each common goal
      • Perform all other duties as assigned
      • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
      • be able to stand and walk as constant conditions
      • be able to stand frequent handling of objects, reaching, maneuvering and continually positioning of oneself to perform assigned tasks
      • be able to physically grasp and transport items up to 50 pounds, including kitchen supplies and dishware
      • be able to work a flexible schedule to include 5 a.m opening shifts and/or midnight or later closing shifts. 

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years’ experience working in a high-volume fast food restaurant
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership position.
