Although this position requires only 20 to 24 hours per week, it can be combined with other positions with other (and sometimes similar) responsibilities to accommodate someone who prefers closer to a full time 40 hour week during the summer.
The accounting assistant position is part-time [20-24 hours per week during season] and seasonal, beginning in April and going through the end of September, at the least; with the possibility of a few weeks in October or November. The schedule is flexible from April until season begins and then again during post-season. During season, there will be a set schedule. The primary rationale for this position is to support the Bookstore Assistant Manager/Accounts Payable Manager to manage the financial paperwork flow that stems from preparing for the Chautauqua summer season business.
A probationary period will be observed.
